Welcome to Kingsway Village

Kingsway Village is a popular development on the edge of Gloucester, near Quedgeley.
The development of Kingsway originally started back in 2006 on the grounds of the old RAF Quedgeley site and was built up by several housing developers.

As well as it's scenic walks and views, Kingsway has a host of local thriving businesses. Take a look at some of the locally ran businesses here.

You don't need to go far for shopping or entertainment needs either, with supermarket giant Asda just around the corner you have everything you need on your doorstep.

The history of Kingsway Village

The land that Kingsway Village now occupies started out as an RAF base. Over the years the area has developed and now houses hundreds of homes providing a bustling community for those living here and the surrounding areas.

Pre-Development : RAF Quedgeley

Before Kingsway Village there was RAF Quedgeley which was opened in 1914 and closed as an independent RAF unit in 1995.

Development : Kingsway Village

The development of Kingsway Village started in 2006. Housing developers Barratt Homes, Bromford Group, Bryant Homes, David Wilson Homes, George Wimpey, Miller Homes, Persimmon plc, and Taylor Wimpey were at the forefront of the development of houses.

Opening : Kingsway Primary School

Kingsway Primary School was opened in 2008. Providing primary education to the area, the school prides itself on developing every child into an outstanding learner to achieve their full potential and succeed.

Community : What's Here now

In 2011, Tesco Express and Badham Pharmacy opened in the area. In 2012, a Marston's pub called the Barn Owl opened it's doors. Following on from this, in 2013 Waterwells Primary Academy and Asda were introduced to the village. Now it's home to a wealth of local facilities including a community centre, sports pavillion, several takeaways, another restaurant, and Kingsway Surgery.
